1. General :- Completion of the course of study for Pre-university or Pre-Degree Examination of a recognised university or any equivalent qualification.

2. Technical :- a) Successful Completion of Medical Laboratory Technician Course of the Medical Colleges of Kerala.

OR

b) Successful Completion of the Blood Transfustion Assistant Class 3 and Class 2 Courses of the Army Medical Corps.
